London, 9 December 2014 – Aspectus PR’s energy communications team has launched a guide to the December 2014 Capacity Market Auctions.

The short guide is primarily aimed at journalists who cover a wide beat and may benefit from a concise explanation of the complexities of the auction. During the auction, which runs from December 16-19, the Government will look to procure 53.3GW of capacity for use at times of high energy demand.

“It’s a complex topic. We’ve distilled key market messages into a handy guide that journalists can refer to as the auction progresses,” explains Kate Garratt, Head of Energy at Aspectus. “In addition we’ve outlined the most newsworthy points of the auction and given an overview of key topics that may come up and potential spokespeople. London, 8 December 2014 – Aspectus PR has been appointed as global communications partner to ProSep Inc., the oil, gas and water treatment specialist. Headquartered in Houston, ProSep offers an unparalleled portfolio of separation technologies and services to the global oil and gas industry. The company currently employs over 100 people worldwide and has secured over $38.4 million in new contracts so far this year.

With ambitious plans for growth, ProSep selected Aspectus to support the delivery of its strategic vision by continuing to strengthen the company’s media profile and building its global brand identity. Aspectus will be responsible for delivering ProSep’s strategic communications and media campaigns across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

“ProSep has set an ambitious growth strategy for the next five years and it is essential we have the right partners in place to support us,” states Megain Buchan, PR & Marketing Manager, ProSep. “Aspectus PR is a forward-thinking agency with in-depth sector knowledge and an innovative approach to PR and communications. ProSep is one of several major clients signed to Aspectus PR’s energy practice this year. Over the last 12 months, the energy team has also doubled in size, driven by an expanding client base from across the energy spectrum. Aspectus now boasts a strong portfolio of upstream clients, strengthened by the agency’s wider expansion into key global energy hubs and the launch of its innovative Search Integrated Communications (SINCOM) model. Conceived to harness the power of smart, shareable and searchable content, SINCOM integrates PR content with a client’s website and keywords to create a dynamic link between media coverage, social media output and search performance.

“The global marketplace must understand, buy into and trust ProSep’s products and services,” says Kate Garratt, Head of Energy, Aspectus PR. “We have proven expertise in delivering the results our clients desire in the energy market. By developing penetrative, consistent and memorable campaigns delivered via multiple channels, we will create enhanced conditions for ProSep to successfully deliver its global sales strategy. London, 9th July 2014 – Aspectus PR today announced that it has appointed Sophie Hodgson as head of technology. Hodgson will focus on rapidly growing and developing the technology team through the acquisition of new business. Prior to joining Aspectus, Hodgson ran her own communications consultancy and was previously a board director at Speed Communications. She has worked on a broad spectrum of clients including Bloxx, Compuware, Informatica, Qinec and Virgin Media Business.

“With many new companies disrupting the landscape and bringing to market new approaches and platforms, the technology sector has a real spring in its step,” says Hodgson. “Perceptions of PR have also changed. Companies want PR to work much harder for them across multiple platforms, and want to work with an agency that helps them to own the topics and issues central to their commercial growth. To do this, agencies have got to cut through the buzzwords and get on with the job at hand. And that is what Aspectus does brilliantly. I’m looking forward to growing the team and contributing to making Aspectus the go to agency for tech.”

A former PR Week 29 under 29, Hodgson started her career at Spark Communications, before joining Rainier PR, which later merged with four other agencies to become Speed Communications in 2009. She brings with her over a decade of experience and, at Speed, oversaw a wide ranging client portfolio that included both B2C and B2B technology brands. She joins three other ‘home grown’ PR week 29 under 29s among the Agency’s senior management.

“Aspectus has built up a formidable reputation in the energy and financial services sector, as well as the technology vendors that support those verticals,” says Alastair Turner, Global Group Director, Aspectus PR. “Having grown the size of our team significantly, expanding into New York and more recently Singapore, we’ve a strong technology heritage and want to build on that. We are seeing a great deal of interest in our approach that combines media, content and search into one fully integrated PR package. Sophie will be absolutely key to helping us refine our proposition, winning business, and attracting and developing the best talent, as well as building the Aspectus brand.”

Aspectus PR believes there is a strong space for a different kind of agency: one that isn’t obsessed with time sheets, but instead focuses on delivering success and better still can measure that in a tangible and commercially savvy way. The Agency was founded in 2006 and has offices in London, New York and Singapore. It is also developing a presence in Europe. Aspectus PR’s clients include major international businesses, FTSE top 250 companies and disruptive start-ups across all of its niche sectors.

London, 27th March 2014 – Aspectus PR, the global communications and PR agency has been appointed by Silixa, a leading provider of optical fibre sensing solutions for the upstream oil and gas and midstream pipeline industries, to deliver its new strategic messaging campaign.

Head-quartered in London, Silixa has developed a series of applied solutions that use the power of distributed acoustic and temperature sensing to provide new levels of insight and intelligence by measuring and monitoring activity within well bores and pipelines. The company’s pioneering approach is expanding the role of borehole seismic and aiming to transform production flow definition in horizontal wells. The dynamic monitoring of pipelines allows both leak definition and intrusion detection to be rapidly identified and located.

Silixa is planning to accelerate its service offering in 2014, to build on its first place in the 2013 Deloitte UK Fast 50’s electronics category. Aspectus PR has been appointed to create a suite of engaging messaging to increase market understanding of Silixa’s solutions and drive company growth. Selected for its in-depth knowledge of the energy sector, Aspectus PR’s energy practice has significant experience of delivering highly effective PR and communications campaigns for high-growth SMEs.

“This is an extremely exciting project for us,” said Kate Garratt, head of Aspectus PR’s energy practice. “Silixa’s technology has huge potential and getting the messaging right at this stage is crucial. Our intimate knowledge of the sector and our experience of working with similarly positioned companies, means we are perfectly placed to create highly charged messaging to support Silixa’s marketing efforts, commercialisation and future growth.”
