Here he is lending much needed physical support to his old friend Charlie Sale, the formidable sports diarist for the Daily Mail, after his astonishing athletic feat of carrying the Olympic Torch for all of two hundred yards or so down Charing Cross Road on Friday. Bill and Charlie both trained as journalists together.

Charlie was mobbed of course, embraced and photographed and roared on by many, as he staggered down the road between the Porcupine Pub to the finish at the Griffen Arms which was on hand to cater for his after-event needs.

Aspectus PR sends warm congratulations to Charlie. Well done, old boy. Have a great Olympic Games!
