Campaign to raise UKPR's profile/share knowledge on issues relating to 2015 capacity market auction

The brief

UKPR wanted to raise its profile as a developer and operator of Short Term Operating Reserve power plants, (small scale, flexible power stations designed to respond quickly to any shortfalls on the National Grid). They also wanted to establish themselves as a point of reference on the set-up of the UK Capacity Market.

The result

The release led to interviews on BBC 5 Live, BBC News Channel and BBC Radio Berkshire (where UKPR's CEO was referred to as 'the most powerful man in Britain'). The FT briefing led to a story on page 3 of the paper and UKPR's quote from the article was even referenced in a House of Lords debate. The coverage also led to a briefing with the Sunday Times, an interview on BBC Points West and a number of trade media pieces.

In a short space of time Aspectus really developed our profile. They capitalised on opportunities to get our brand and agenda the best possible coverage. Their approach, knowledge of the industry and how the media works is what made all of this possible.
